Handmade Diamond And Sapphire Ring In Platinum

A miniature work of art, designed and made by us!

Everything about this ring is special: the big diamond, the fabulously matched pair of blue sapphires, the streamlined handmade setting, the faceted prongs which blend into the facets of the gemstones.  Wow!

Marcel designed this ring, first by hand sketching and then using CAD technology to figure out a precise layout and proportions.  Our jeweler, Steve, fabricated the ring by carefully planning every detail, hand forging the precious metal, and expertly setting the gemstones.

The diamond:  It's big!  2.28 carats.  This diamond is an extra fabulous round brilliant cut.  It's an Eight Star diamond.  An Eight Star diamond has been painstakingly cut and polished to have zero light leakage.  This means that all the light that enters the diamond from the top reflects around the interior of the stone, and comes back out through the top, as sparkle.  This diamond has more sparkle than any other brilliant cut diamond.  The top-notch cutting also means the diamond will appear whiter in color.  The diamond has a GIA grade of L/SI1, and is accompanied by a GIA report.

The sapphires:  Dreamy blue pear-shapes, with medium-deep color you can just fall in love with.  The rounded ends of the sapphires accent the round center diamond, while the points fall in line with the tapered, knife edge shank of the ring.  The sapphires have a combined weight of 1.54 carats.

The ring:  Completely hand fabricated in platinum.  Our jeweler, Steve, tamed bars and wires of platinum into sleek, modern settings to hold the substantial gems.  The gems are set into Steve's signature faceted prongs, and are supported by tapered wires.  The shank of the ring has a polished knife edge design, which widens at the base to balance the ring.

This one-of-a-kind ring is a finger size 7, and can be sized up or down.
