In our 116 years in business - we've sold a LOT of rings. This ring is extra special, and safe to say, one of our absolute favorites.
The ring was designed by Pierre and Marcel, and hand assembled in our workshop by our jeweler, Steve.
The diamond - it's exactly 1.00 carats - how perfect! It's old - well, all diamonds are old - by a few billion years. But this diamond was faceted at the turn of the 20th century, making it a true antique. This diamond is cut in a manner that is referred to as "Old European". Old European Cut diamonds are the predecessor to the modern brilliant cut diamond and have chunky proportions with broad facets that give them an unusual sparkle and eye-catching glow. The diamond has GIA I/VS1 color/clarity grades and is accompanied by a GIA report.
The ring is hand-assembled, from pure, luxurious platinum, with period correct details. The central setting for the diamond has six claw prongs and is a replica of a traditional early 20th century design. The band of the ring has been set with six ideal cut diamonds, in bead prongs, with pointed channel ends. The six diamonds have a total weight of .15 carats, with GIA F-G/SI1 color/clarity grades. The band has a comfort fit interior, high polish finish, and is a size 6.25.
This would make a heart-fluttering engagement ring, anniversary ring, or a fabulous right hand ring for anyone with an old soul and taste for the unusual.
The ring is available for purchase in-store only and cannot be purchased online. Please contact us for more details!
