The crowning glory of our gemstone collection. This magnificent unheated blue sapphire was mined in Sri Lanka. It has a gorgeous blue hue, reminiscent of the ocean waves. The sapphire weighs 6.08ct, and has a medium-deep blue color and a very lively appearance. This gem would make a fabulous pendant, or a brooch sprinkled with diamonds.
This sapphire has been evaluated by the Gemological Institute Of America, and comes with a GIA report.
A note on unheated sapphires:
95% of all mined sapphires are heated to bring forth their color, something that has been done for hundreds of years. An unheated sapphire is very rare because its natural color is so beautiful that it does not need to be enhanced.
This gem is available for purchase in-store only, and cannot be purchased online. Please contact us for more details!
